Mark's love for performance began in a converted church hall in East Sussex, aged eleven, playing the ghost in a village production of A Christmas Carol. The lights, the silence before the first line, the way the audience leaned in — he never quite left.
After training with the RADA Foundation programme and a two-year immersion in Meisner technique under Scott Williams, he began working on the London fringe, earning a reputation for the sort of grounded, physically-committed performance that critics tend to describe with words like "restrained" and "electric".
His work now spans classical theatre, primetime drama, independent film and national campaigns. Recent credits include productions with the Old Vic, BBC and A24, with festival selections at London, Tribeca and Raindance.
Off camera, Mark is a keen boxer, a passable pianist and a devoted father. He lives in Crowborough with his family.
